Event Security Options

There are multiple ways to enable security when you publish an event to your storefront. Have a look at the options below to choose one or more that work for your event. /h4>

Event Access works to require an additional step for your customer to access their photos. The captured name and email is logged in your reports.

  1. Open the PhotoReflect software and create a new event or access the event detail pages of a current event.
  2. Click Next until you get to the Security & Expiration page of your event.
  3. Locate the Event Access options on this page. There are three options for Event Access. Set 'Normal' if you do not wish to utilize the Event Access options to increase security. Choosing 'Customers must provide an Email Address to view the photos' will require your customer to provide an email address before accessing the event. Setting 'Customers must Login to view the photos' will require your customer to create a customer account that they can then utilize to complete ordering on your store. This will request their name, email address and a password to be created before they are able to access the photos.
  4. After you have chosen your option, click Finish, then continue with adding photos for a new event, or re-publishing the current event with the change.

Password Protection requires your customer to enter a specific password to access the events.

  1. Open the PhotoReflect software and create a new event or access the event detail pages of a current event.
  2. Click Next until you get to the Security & Expiration page of your event.
  3. Choose Password or Challenge/Response.
  4. Use the fields available to either enter your chosen password or the question and response you would like your customers to answer. You can also use the Random Password option to generate a random password for your event.
  5. Click Finish, then continue with adding photos for a new event, or re-publishing the current event with the change. Be sure to notify your customers of the password to access their event.

A digital watermark will further protect your copyrighted work by discouraging users from capturing the image with a screen grab.

  1. Open the PhotoReflect software and create a new event or access the event detail pages of a current event.
  2. Click Next until you get to the Security & Expiration page of your event.
  3. Locate the Photo Watermark options and select Watermark Online Photos
  4. Click Finish, then continue with adding photos for a new event, or re-publishing the current event with the change.
